Al Ahly legend Ahmed Shobier has revealed Pitso Mosimane has made a decision regarding his future amid interest from SAFA for his services.

Al Ahly legend Ahmed Shobier has revealed Red Devils boss Pitso Mosimane has made a decision regarding his future amid interest from the South African Football Association (SAFA) for his services.

Since signing for Al Ahly in October 2020, Mosimane has guided the team to the CAF Champions League and Egypt Cup titles and third-place at the Club World Cup.

This season Al Ahly have reached the CAF Champions League quarter-finals where they will face one of Wydad Casablanca, Mamelodi Sundowns, or Esperance de Tunis in the last 8.

Since SAFA gave former national coach Molefi Ntseki the boot, Mosimane has been linked with the vacant role.

However, Mosimane appeared to have said “thanks, but no thanks” to the offer as he wishes to remain in Cairo until at least the end of his contract which concludes at the end of next season.

And Shobier has confirmed this claim.

According to the former Egypt and Al Ahly goalkeeper, Mosimane informed Al Ahly president Mahmoud El-Khatib that he will continue with the club denying any intention of leaving in order to take over the top South Africa job.

The 56-year-old is very happy with the African champions and wishes to continue with his success at the club, believes Shobier.
